April 2013 – Clarke Nicklin shows support to local business and young people
Clarke Nicklin has further proven its commitment to local business and young people, with partner Brian Bradley taking part in the recent Greater Manchester Chamber Action for Business forum; ‘Businesses Engaging with Young People’
At the event Brian spoke about PEEBS, an initiative which he helped develop with G M Chamber and Stockport Council which brings together businesses with local schools and colleges in Stockport. This is something which Brian, and Clarke Nicklin as a firm, is extremely passionate about. Brian commented; ‘Businesses continuously require skilled and enthusiastic people at all levels in order to succeed, engaging with young people is a win-win as the business can help shape the direction and success of their future workforce, whilst the young people gain invaluable support and guidance, which they can take away and apply throughout their careers.’
Clarke Nicklin training partner Paul Mellor added; ‘We have always found employing young people to be beneficial, and are committed to taking on Trainees, and offering Work Experience placements, to local colleges each year. They are a valuable asset to the firm.’
Clarke Nicklin has also shown commitment to the local business community in the organisation of Stockport Business Awards, which is being launched for the second successive year on 11th April, see www.stockportbusinessawards.co.uk for details.
